A man who sleeps rough on the streets of Edinburgh has spoken of the horrific ordeal, as homeless applications in the Capital have risen by 23 per cent - the highest of anywhere in Scotland.Xander, who has slept rough on and off for 10 years, said: "You can get homeless accommodation, but it takes ages to get into for a long period of time. "I present at the council most days, but you don't always get a space.
The last place I got, I lasted there a month but had to leave because people were breaking into rooms, and there were paedophiles.
I can't live with paedophiles."Edinburgh Live reports Xander also reported grim conditions from his experience at homeless hostels.
