A schoolgirl from West Lothian is running 100km for NHS charities.Lucy Paris, from Mid Calder, is a first year pupil at James Young High School in Livingston and whilst stuck indoors during lockdown she decided to raise funds for the NHS.The 12-year-old has family who are nurses and key workers and after being inspired by their hard work and dedication she wanted to do something to show her appreciation.Her mum, Deborah, explained: “She got the idea abut three weeks ago when the lockdown was extended and when Captain Tom was in the news.“Lucy wanted to do something to increase her own stamina and we got chatting about all the options and I said she should set herself a goal.
