Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.A generous schoolgirl from Hamilton has had a big haircut to help young children who have lost their hair from cancer treatment.Eleven-year-old Lily Hanlon parted with 40cm of her beautiful hair in aid of The Little Princess Trust and has raised over £200 for the charity.Her family have been right behind her ensuring Lily’s strawberry blonde locks don’t go to waste with older sister Taylor, 21, organising the hairdressers she works at do the chop and setting up her GoFundMe page.Proud mum Gillian Hanlon told the Advertiser they had been planning the fantastic gesture since last year.
