'Big Brother' Airs Contestant Kyle Capener's Comments About Race After Fan Complaints
justjared.comBig Brother contestant Kyle Capener has been making headlines recently after fans voiced their issues with his comments on race throughout the latest season of the show.
This past weekend, the hashtag #StopProtectingKyle shot to No. 1 in the United States on Twitter’s Trending Topics, as fans of the show lashed out at CBS for “protecting” Kyle with editing of his problematic comments in the house, as well as conversations about race.
At one point during the season, Kyle commented on the “diverse background” of other housemates and speculated that they are working together similarly to the Cookout, a former all-Black alliance from Big Brother 23.
He also suggested an alliance between the remaining white contestants on the show. During the episode that aired on Wednesday (August 31), Kyle‘s comments were finally addressed on the air when fellow contestants Michael Bruner and Brittany Hoopes told other houseguests about the comments.
