'Big Bang Theory' Spinoff Update - Series Finalizes Creative Team Amid Casting Questions

There’s been some exciting news about the new Big Bang Theory spinoff series that’s in development! We first learned that the new television show was in development way back in April 2023 when co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre was revealed to be involved.

This October, it was confirmed that the series was still progressing. Three members of the original cast were confirmed to reprise their roles.

On Thursday (December 19), there was another update about the show’s creative team. Keep reading to find out more… According to reporting by Deadline fellow franchise co-creator Bill Prady has joined the project alongside Zak Penn.

The trio will work together on the script. Plot details are still unclear. However, Kevin Sussman, Brian Posehn and Lauren Lapkus are all confirmed to return for the project in their original roles.
