Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

BGT fans label singer the 'next Aled Jones' as Simon Cowell presses golden buzzer

Simon Cowell has pressed the golden buzzer for his favourite act on just the second episode of the new series of Britain's Got Talent.

Simon, who's famous for being difficult to please, was blown away by Malakli's opera performance and smashed the golden buzzer for him – taking him straight through to the live shows.The young singer received a standing ovation by both the judges and the crowd as Simon went on to label his singing as "golden" before smashing the buzzer.

BGT viewers echoed similar sentiments online. One person wrote: "That's talent. Unfiltered talent.That's what it's about. Golden indeed".

Another penned: "This generations Aled Jones. Stardom for sure #bgt", as a third tweeted: "He deserved that golden buzzer wow what a voice #BGT".
