Beyoncé is the latest star who could be taking legal action against Donald Trump‘s 2024 Presidential campain.
The 42-year-old entertainer has reportedly threatened a cease-and-desist to the Trump Campaign after the campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung posted a video using her song “Freedom.” If you didn’t know, the song has been used by Vice President Kamala Harris, with permission from Beyoncé, since the start of her campaign, and a new campaign video featuring a stripped down version of “Freedom” was played at the 2024 Democratic National Convention this week. Keep reading to find out more… A source close to Beyoncé told Rolling Stone that she has not given permission to the Trump Campaign to use her song, which was used in a 13-second video posted to X, of Trump getting off a plane in Michigan on Tuesday (August 20).
This, of course, isn’t the first time Trump and his campaign have been hit with a cease-and-desist for using music without permission.
Just last week, the Trump Campaign was hit with a lawsuit by Isaac Hayes Enterprises over the unauthorized use of Isaac Hayes‘ “Hold On, I’m Comin” at rallies.
