Marc Malkin Senior Editor, Culture and Events Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, is confident her Netflix NFL halftime show on Christmas Day won’t run into any technical problems. “I have no worries,” Knowles told me Wednesday at the Los Angeles premiere of Tyler Perry’s new movie, “The Six Triple Eight.” “God is going to be in control and everything is going to go smooth.

No glitches. It’s going to be great.” She added, “We got some prayer going on. We got some connections.” Netflix encountered buffering and image issues during the livestream event for Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s match in November.

Technical issues also disrupted Netflix’s first major live event, a “Love is Blind” reunion, in April 2023, forcing the program to be taped and aired at a later date.

Beyoncé will perform during the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game live on Netflix on Dec. 25 at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston.
