torontosun.comDirector Adil El Arbi has promised fans that the long-awaited Beverly Hills Cop 4 is still going ahead.It was reported last year that Netflix had picked up the rights to the latest installment in the franchise, after making a one-time licensing deal with Paramount Pictures.
And while progress on the project has been slow, Adil told Digital Spy that they’ve now hired a screenwriter to start penning a script.“We’re still involved in that project, and there’s a screenwriter now on it that’s going to try to write a first draft or a first treatment at least with the story,” he told the outlet. “So we’re going to see what the first version will be.”While it had been speculated that Eddie Murphy would reprise his role as street-smart Detroit
