Beverley Callard 'worked socks off' to do I'm A Celebrity after hip surgery horror

The Coronation Street legend, who plays Liz McDonald on the ITV soap, underwent two big operations on her hip earlier this year, one in March and the second in July.
Her first op was botched, and left her in agonising pain before she had further surgery to attempt to correct it. Since then, she has completed physiotherapy and other treatments, after she had to learn to walk again.
But Beverley says she wasn't going to give up her chance to be on I'm A Celebrity without a fight. Speaking to Mirror online and other press, the soap legend revealed she "worked her socks off" to get to where she is with her progress
