Naman Ramachandran Jason Howden, the writer and director behind 2015 cult horror hit “Deathgasm,” is returning for “Deathgasm 2.” The sequel, which is produced by Raven Banner Entertainment, is set to start shooting in New Zealand next year. Howden, who also wrote and directed “Guns Akimbo” starring Daniel Radcliffe and Samara Weaving, will write and direct. He has also already been in talks with the original cast – Milo Cawthorne, James Blake and Kimberley Crossman – about returning. “Deathgasm,” which debuted at SXSW and went onto win a slew of horror awards including the Palm D’Gore at Knoxville Horror Film Festival, tells the story of two high-school metal-heads, Brodie (played by Cawthorne) and Zakk (Blake), who form a band called Deathgasm. One day, while delving into some dark magic to escape their mundane lives, the duo unwittingly summon an evil entity called The Blind One.

 Hocus Pocus 2 director Anne Fletcher is 'open' to another sequel.The 56-year-old filmmaker is at the helm of the upcoming comedy horror movie - which is a follow-up to the original 1993 classic and set to launch on Disney+ on September 30 - and she won't rule out a third film if Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker all want to return as the Sanderson sisters.'I have definitely left it WIDE open for any sequel. Hannah Waddingham mystery role has finally been revealed for Hocus Pocus 2!

Disney has shared a first look at its upcoming new animated sci-fi series Iwájú at the D23 Expo in California.The event is taking place this weekend (September 9-11) at the Anaheim Convention Center and unveiling many new films and TV series from the studio.Among them was Iwájú, which was created by Ziki Nelson. The comic-style series will be set in Lagos and will explore class, innocence and challenging the status quo.During D23, Disney unveiled the first-look image from the show and announced that it will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

Disney has revealed the first trailer for Hocus Pocus 2 at the D23 Expo in Anaheim tonight (September 9).The new movie, which will see original stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker return, will arrive on Disney Plus on September 30.The sequel will also introduce new characters, including one played by Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham, as the trailer reveals.The trailer begins with a priest banishing the three young witches, who grow up to be Midler, Najimy and Parker’s characters, from Salem and meeting Waddingham in the woods. “They were right to fear thee,” she tells them.Happily never after.#Disenchanted, an Original movie, starts streaming November 24 on @DisneyPlus.

The Little Mermaid has been unveiled.The teaser was premiered at Disney’s D23 Expo, which is currently taking place in Anaheim, California today (September 9).The Little Mermaid will see singer Halle Bailey of duo Chloe X Halle take on the lead role of Ariel. The one-minute-23-second-long teaser gives a first look at her in the part, featuring the actor swimming through the ocean with a shiny blue tail.Bailey also can be heard singing a part of ‘Part Of Your World’ in the teaser.

Pixar has confirmed that Inside Out 2 is in the works and unveiled a new sci-fi-themed movie called Elio at Disney’s D23 Expo.The event is currently taking place in Anaheim, California, where many new films and highly anticipated sequels are being revealed today (September 9).Parks And Recreation’s Amy Poehler, who played Joy in 2015’s Inside Out, made an appearance at the event to share the news. Kesley Mann will direct the new film, while Meg LeFauve will write the script and Mark Nielsen will produce.According to Poehler, Inside Out 2 will be set in Riley’s – who is now a teenager – head, where she experiences brand new emotions.
