Games, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allows fans to live out their magical sporting dreams. “Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Quidditch by playing solo or sharing the magic with friends and family,” reads the official description.The game was released digitally on September 3 and, according to Metacritic, has received a middling response.
Of the 17 reviews published, two are positive, one is negative and 14 are mixed with a majority highlighting the low barrier for entry and the lack of depth the game offers fans.Over on Reddit, fans also seem split on the developers decision to change the rules of the made-up wizarding game as well.
In the books, catching the Golden Snitch will give players 150 points and is the only way to end the game but in Quidditch Champions, the Golden Snitch will only reward players with 30 points, with games ending after a team has achieved 100 points.“It is a fun game and I have enjoyed my time with it so far, but I’m not sure about how much longevity it’ll have.
