North Berwick has been named the best place to live in Scotland, according to a new study. The Times newspaper today published details of its annual Best Places to Live in UK list - with the East Lothian town coming out on top as the regional winner.
The town was described as a ‘handsome seaside resort’ that was praised for its ‘positive energy’. Other places on the list included Bearsden, Broughty Ferry, Dennistoun, Dunkeld, Isle of Eigg, Melrose and Portobello.
A range of factors were taken into consideration when all of the places were named on the list. These include schools, air quality, transport and broadband speeds to culture and the health of the high street.
