Bernardo Silva said Manchester City simply have to do better after a month and a half that has 'not been good enough'. A depleted City side had to come from behind twice to earn a point at Crystal Palace and while it meant they avoided a fifth Premier League defeat of the season the result left the players 'unhappy' after just one win from their last nine matches in all competitions.

Silva accepts that injuries have played their part in City's predicament but is not prepared to use them as an excuse. "With Man City it's always two points lost.

One point is better than zero but we're not happy at the moment. We know our situation with injuries. Coming to Crystal Palace is never easy but we have to do better," he said.
