Bernardo Silva has emphasised the importance of Manchester City sharing the goals throughout the team in the absence of an out-and-out striker.

City finally reclaimed top spot in the Premier League table for the first time this season with a 3-1 win over Watford on Saturday having leapfrogged Chelsea and Liverpool.

At the start of the season, after failing to score against the likes of Tottenham and Southampton, the Blues came in for criticism for not signing a striker in the summer and many claimed it would cost them throughout the campaign.

Sergio Aguero left the Etihad after a trophy-laden decade and the club then failed in its attempt to bring in Harry Kane, leaving them without a natural finisher.
