Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday evening with a comprehensive 3-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road.
With Chelsea having slipped up earlier in the day - losing 3-2 to West Ham United in the lunchtime kick-off - City knew that a victory in Hertfordshire would take them to the summit, overtaking Liverpool, who had dispersed the Londoners at the top less than an hour before City had kicked-off.
