Defender Benjamin Pavard has outlined that he intends to stay at Bayern Munich despite tentative links with a move to Manchester United.
The Reds could seek a new defender in the summer if club captain Harry Maguire leaves. Pavard is known as a right-back but can play centre-half, featuring there in a back-five for more than half of his 29 games this season (15).
Erik ten Hag has shown his inclination towards versatile players during his tenure at Ajax and with the likes of Luke Shaw at Old Trafford, the left-back playing in central defence six times this season.
