Ben Shephard halted Wednesday's episode of This Morning to share some 'exciting news' live on air. During the latest instalment, Ben, 50, was talking about the recent headlines with co-star Cat Deeley and their guests to which he announced: "We've got some exciting news to share, Cat!" to which Cat, 48, replied: "Do we?" Ben then said: "Look at this, we have won an award!" to which he showed an I Talk Telly award for best daytime show.

He added: "The best news is that it's voted for by all of you at home, so thank you so much for that!" to which Cat added: "We just want to say a massive thank you, didn't we?

And thanks for watching and thanks for voting! It's brilliant!" While Ben gushed: "We've loved being a part of this show, we certainly enjoy ourselves daily, don't we?

The fact that you guys wanted to vote for this so we'd win this award, it makes it even more special so thank you!" Elsewhere on Wednesday's show, Ben was left stunned as one star appeared to let slip a Strictly Come Dancing detail.
