Sonic The Hedgehog 3 star Ben Schwartz has given hints as to what its recently-announced sequel has in store.Its latest film, released today (December 20) in US cinemas, in the Sega video game franchise sees Sonic (Schwartz), Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) and Knuckles (Idris Elba) forge an unlikely alliance with Dr.
Robotnik (Jim Carrey) as they take on Keanu Reeves’ antagonist Shadow The Hedgehog.The third film draws inspiration from the early ’00s video games, Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow The Hedgehog.
No plot details for the fourth film have been revealed but it is slated for release in spring 2027.However, Schwartz has shared more about the fourth film in a new interview with Variety published today.
When asked about the sequel, Schwartz said that the ending of Sonic 3 teases what “I hope we would do for the fourth”.“There is a beautiful storyline that can be used, and it takes our movie in a whole different place,” he said. “That’s what makes these exciting.”He added: “Every one of these movies almost feels like a different genre.
