The popular student drinking spot, which was once a Grosvenor Picture Palace cinema, put a pop-up message on its website’s booking form earlier this year, telling customers: “We will no longer be trading after the 25th May.
It has been a pleasure serving the community and we shall miss you." But now, the beloved Grade II listed premises, which served university students and locals for more than three decades, has popped up for sale on Rightmove with the price undisclosed. "For over three decades, it served as a bustling hub for university students and city centre locals alike.
This is a noteworthy opportunity to secure one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings in the city centre." The area has a huge student population as it houses the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and The Royal Northern College of Music.
