Shocking aerial video and photos reveal the scale of the massive explosion in Beirut that killed at least 100 people as it flattened buildings and blew out windows miles away.
As teams searched through rubble for survivors and bodies, photos showed apocalyptic scenes with a massive crater surrounded by a void where buildings once stood, and debris including twisted metal.
The blast, which left more than 4,000 and dozens missing, is said to have had a fifth of the power of the Hiroshima atomic bomb and is thought to have been triggered by a fire that was sparked by a welder.
