This Morning hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were sacked this week as the show decided to replace them with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.
But it's now been reported that since ITV do not want to employ the veteran presenters any more, the BBC is set to swoop in.
It is alleged that the BBC are planning to offer the married couple, both 60, their very own daytime show to fill their newly empty schedules.
A source told The Sun : "Eamonn and Ruth have a huge fanbase and are very experienced. "They can easily carry any number of shows, so producers at the Beeb are considering handing them a format to front." MirrorOnline has contacted reps for Ruth, Eamonn and the BBC for comment.
