BBC The Traitors star breaks silence over banishment and shares huge regret

The second series of The Traitors began airing on 3 January, with the first three episodes being released and revealing which contestants were the first to be banished from the castle.

Viewers wasted no time in watching the new episodes, with the hit reality show having fans hooked once again. Sonja became the second star to be banished after her co-stars wrongly suspected her to be a Traitor, with the 66 year old revealing herself to be a Faithful upon her exit.

Sonja told her fellow contestants: “Well guys, facts are important to me as they obviously are to you. So here’s a fact I would now like to confirm to you, and that is that I am a Faithful." Sonja has now opened up about her early exit from The Traitors, and has expressed regret over the way she played the game, saying she should have concentrated more on her "strategy". "What I should have done is concentrate on a strategy for how to be a Faithful and then execute on it instead of thinking 'I'll have a house party for a couple of days and then I’ll get round to it'," the business mentor admitted.

She also admitted she wanted to be selected to be a Traitor and "wasn't happy" with being chosen as Faithful by host Claudia Winkleman.
