Lord Alan Sugar went through a terrifying health scare, when he was told he had a serious heart problem. The star of The Apprentice, who fired Dr Asif Munaf in Thursday's instalment, 15 February, is super-rich and started making his money when he was just 21 by setting up his own electronics company.

He's worked really hard to get where he is now, but all that work can be stressful. And stress isn't great for your health. Yet Alan, who used to be in charge of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, got a huge shock when a doctor told him he had a very serious problem with his heart.

It was so bad, Alan was told it could have killed him at any minute. The entrepreneur discovered he had a 'widow-maker' blockage in his heart, right after he went on a long bike ride with his wife, Ann, in America.
