Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell broke down in tears as she opened up about her friend and co-star Amy Dowden's battle with cancer.

Welsh dancer Amy, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, is sharing her journey with the disease in a new documentary for the BBC, which will air on Monday night.

In a new teaser for the one-off documentary, called Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me, Dianne struggled to speak through tears as she spoke about her friend. An emotional Amy responds: "Thank you, darling." A clip of Dianne being interviewed on camera then plays, showing the dancer tear up as she speaks about how important dancing is to her friend, who she was a bridesmaid for at her wedding to Ben Jones in 2022. "Her dancing's always been the thing that she goes to to release anything that is troubling her in her life," Dianne says. "And I know how much she wants to be back on that dancefloor.

That moment will be the most special moment for her and I can't wait." Dianne then appears emotional as she wipes a tear from her eye and adds: "It will happen." As she struggles to get her words out, Dianne says: "I hope that I'm just stood there beside her.
