Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas paid a heartwarming tribute to his former dancing partner Luba as she celebrated her birthday earlier this week in an adorable post to his Instagram page.The Waterloo Road star and his partner Luba Mushtuk were gutted to be eliminated from the BBC competition missing out on a spot at Blackpool week against Angela Rippon, 79, and her professional partner Kai Widdrington in the dance-off.Angela was once again saved by the judges in a controversial decision last week, which saw Krishnan Guru-Murthy and his partner Lauren Oakley also miss out on the opportunity to perform in the iconic ballroom.

Although Adam and Luba's time on the dancefloor sadly came to an end, they have been spending a lot of quality time together since leaving the competition with the actor admitting she has now "become family."The Russian dancer was seen beaming in photos posted on Adam's Instagram page in a string of snaps alongside his wife Caroline and kids as they celebrated her milestone with a heart shaped iced birthday cake and balloons.They also appeared to enjoy a night out together, as he also shared a snap of the pair during their time on Strictly with Adam captioning the post: "Too much love for this one!!"I wish we were celebrating your birthday in Blackpool this week, and having your very first fish and chips haha but that will just have to wait!!"
