It was announced on Monday evening's It Takes Two that the 49-year-old would be withdrawing from Strictly. She did not perform with dance partner Giovanni Pernice on Saturday night's show due to health reasons.
On Tuesday (October 24), the Sherlock actress posted a photo of her dancing shoes on Instagram, with an update as to why she quit.
She said due to 'personal reasons' she was 'unable to continue' with the competition.
