Wynne Evans is set to face the 'wrath of the public' as he's dealt a Strictly Come Dancing blow ahead of this weekend's Blackpool special, it has been claimed.

The opera singer has made it to week nine of the BBC One dance contest alongside dance partner Katya Jones. They had to battle for their place in the competitiona fter Wynne was praised for improving his footwork following his performance of an American Smooth to Grace Kelly by Mika, for which the pair were awarded 32 pointsout of a possible 40 from the judges.

Despite the praise, Wynne and Katya had to fight for their place in week nine of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series during the latest results show on Sunday (November 10), which also happens to be the annual Blackpool special which will take place at the iconic Tower Ballroom. After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts: Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Shayne and Nancy, as did Motsi, while Anton Du Beke chose to save Wynne and Katya.
