BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin supported opens up on dancing during 'invisible battle'

Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin has been flooded with praise and support as he opened up about dancing while facing an 'invisible battle'.

The professional dancer is currently wowing in the BBC One dance contest alongside actor Layton Williams. The pair have been consistently topping, or coming close to topping, the live show leaderboard each week and during their last appearance in the ballroom on Saturday night (November 11), their fast and emotional Argentine tango to Tattoo by Eurovision winner Loreen received a standing ovation from judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.

It landed them a near-perfect score of 39 out of 40 with three tens from Motsi, Shirley and Anton Du Beke before a public vote secured their place in week nine of the popular competition which will take place in the iconic Tower Ballroom in Blackpool as per the show's tradition. To mark World Diabetes Day, the 25-year-old spoke out to his 217k followers to show his support and lend some advice to others alongside a picture of himself showing the diabetes libre sensor on his arm.
