Lauren Oakley has shared an emotional update about her latest visit to Blackpool as she makes her debut with Strictly Come Dancing in the iconic Tower Ballroom.

The professional dancer made it through to week nine of the BBC One dance contest, which is the annual special where the show relocates to the seaside town for one weekend only, alongside JB Gill after initially not being given a partner for the show's 2024 series.

There was gutting news last week as it was confirmed that JLS star JB's dance partner Amy Dowden wouldn't be able to continue competing in the BBC One dance contest. And during latest live show on Saturday night (November 9) saw JB and Lauren finish joint topped the judges’ leader board for a second week in a row alongside Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec, with a samba that "stunned" the judges and saw them through to the Blackpool special.
