BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones pays gushing tribute to Wynne Evans after 'unacceptable' comment exposed

Katya Jones has shared a gushing tribute to her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Wynne Evans as they marked his birthday together.

The opera singer celebrated his 53rd birthday on Monday (January 27) by heading to Liverpool for his next performance. Wynne, who is also known for the Go.Compare insurance advertisements, is currently touring the country as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour 2025 after competing in the BBC One dance contest with Katya last year.

Wynne has since been seen with Katya out and about in Liverpool as they took the day ahead of the next show in the city at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday (January 28).

And Wynne appeared to be in good spirits after he was forced to issue a statement after making an 'unacceptable' remark. The string of live arena shows, set to take place until February 9, kicked off earlier this month put it wasn't until over the weekend that the Mail on Sunday reported that Wynne was heard making the remark to a woman in a video filmed during the launch event for the show on January 16.
