Kai Widdrington has spoken for the first time about not having a celebrity partner on Strictly Come Dancing. The dancer has been left out of the pairings this year having made it to Blackpool with Angela Rippon in 2023.
The sparkly BBC One dance contest returned with a brand new series on Saturday night (September 14) with the pre-recorded launch show seeing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman officially kick off proceedings by welcoming the class of 2024 to the iconic ballroom.
While the 2024 series debut was full of fun and energetic routines from the professional dancers, it was all about revealing which celebrity contestants had been paired with which of the talented professional dancers ahead of the first live show this Saturday (September 21). But they will still very much be part of the series - and the 'Strictly Family' - and will appear in various dancers throughout the upcoming season.
