JB Gill has made an admission about winning Strictly Come Dancing as he recalled some wise words from his own mum. The JLS star is within touching distance of the Glitterball trophy having made it to the end of the competition.

As fans of the hit dance show know, JB had to swiftly build a new partnership with pro Lauren Oakley after his original partner Amy Dowden had to make a shock exit from the show following a foot injury, which he has since admitted was a "difficult adjustment" to make.

However, Amy has been fully behind JB and Lauren since the pro dancer took over in early November and helped see through JB to Strictly 2024's grand final on Saturday night (December 14). Ahead of their final moments together in the ballroom, the pair have been talking about what it means to them to be in the final. "Being in the final has to be a career highlight," JB, 38, gushed. "I don’t get to do too many competitions like this, so being in the final is an incredible achievement. "My goal has always been to get through each week but I’ve always said if you can get to the final, it’s anyone’s to win.
