Janette Manrara has said 'it would not be fair' on the new contestants as she was asked whether the recent controversy surrounding Strictly Come Dancing will be addressed when the hit programme returns in a matter of days.
The former professional dancer on the BBC One dance show said doing so would push "negativity" on celebrities and dancers who are "here to have a positive experience".
It comes after a storm of controversy around the BBC dancing show over the alleged treatment of contestants. An investigation was launched by the BBC after allegations were made about Giovanni Pernice by former participant Amanda Abbington, with the results yet to be made public. Fellow dancer Graziano Di Prima has also left the show and previously said that he "deeply regrets" the events that have led to his exit after partnering reality star Zara McDermott on the 2023 seires.
