Chris McCausland has said he 'hasn't recovered' as he spoke out for the first time since winning Strictly Come Dancing. The comedian emerged victorious during the grand final over the weekend alongside professional dance partner Dianne Buswell.
The pair were crowned the BBC One dance contest's 2024 champions during week 13 on Saturday night (December 14) after they beat Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and partner Vito Coppola, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and dancer Aljaz Skorjanec and JLS singer JB Gill and partner Lauren Oakley.
After the three performances each, the scores given by the judges saw, JB and Lauren and Tasha and Aljaz both bagged near-perfect scores of 119 points out of a possible 120, putting them joint top of the leaderboard, while Sarah and Vito earned a close 118 points. Upon being crowned winner, Chris was clearly stunned as he covered his mouth with his hand while Dianne squealed before they both broke into tears as they realised they won the competition, making history as Chris is the first-ever blind contestant.
