Chris McCausland has said he's 'mortified' after his secret comment to Dianne Buswell was revealed to not be so secret after all after it was broadcast to the nation.

The pair reduced Strictly Come Dancing viewers to tears as comedian Chris swapped his comedy comforts for a moving waltz alongside professional dance partner Dianne.

Chris, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, and Dianne performed their routine to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, in a nod to Chris' beloved home city and football club, with the iconic track sung on the night by fellow Liverpudlian Tommy Blaize. READ MORE: BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Paul Merson issues 'sad' update days after show exit But it was just as Chris' performance came to an end that their hidden mics picked up a sweet moment between him and Dianne in which he asked: "Did I do okay?" to which it sound like she said: "You did so good," before giving him more gushing words of praise and encouragement as they made their way over to host Tess Daly for their comments, with Chris emotionally collapsing into her shoulder.

The moment quickly saw Strictly viewers rushing to social media tot tell Chris he had done 'more than okay' and that he has 'no idea' how good he really is.
