BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Annabel Croft 'traumatised' after mugging as she issues warning

Annabel Croft has spoken out about her 'terrifying' ordeal after she was mugged while out in London over the weekend. The Strictly Come Dancing 2023 star admitted she 'did not expect to be a target' of a phone snatcher and wanted to share her warning to others.

Recalling the incident, which happened outside King's Cross St Pancras, on This Morning on Wednesday (June 12), Annabel explained how she was left feeling 'very unsafe.' She said: "I was standing on my own, looking down, and I was not expecting to be a target.

I was a bit green, I saw this biker coming towards me, I didn’t think I would be a target." She added to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: "I did not expect to be a target but thankfully he dropped my phone on the floor and jumped in a taxi and a person, thanks to that person who I do not know, waited with me until I was safe. I was surprised. I think I am quite strong. I was so shocked. It was terrifying. I would hate anyone to have that same experience, it was quite terrifying." On Tuesday (June 11), Annabel revealed she was mugged by a phone snatcher riding a bike, explaining how her mobile was stolen 'clean out of her hands' while she waited for a taxi outside the station.
