Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has said she is 'finding it hard' as she reflects on the year and her cancer diagnosis. The professional dancer, who couldn't take part in this year's series because of her treatment, said she feels she has been “robbed” of the 2023 she had planned for due to her illness.
The 33-year-old has had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and fertility treatment throughout this year. In an emotional post on social media she said she is looking forward to being “fit and healthy” in 2024 and hopes to win the celebrity dance competition’s Glitterball trophy next year.
Amy, who joined Strictly in 2017, announced her cancer diagnosis in May after finding a lump in her breast in April, the day before going to the Maldives on her honeymoon.
Addressing her fans, she said was "actually finding it hard looking at others post of the past year" and felt "robbed of the year I had planned". Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
