Strictly Come Dancing has addressed Amy Dowden's sudden absence from the latest results show, in which she and celebrity dance partner JB Gill made it through to week seven of the competition.

Following their performance in the Halloween special on Saturday night (October 26), Anton Du Beke told JB and Amy he thought they had given a "super duper performance" but Craig Revel Horwood thought JB could have gone further with the scarecrow character.
