BBC sports commentator John Hunt and his daughter Amy have said their devastation "cannot be put into words" after the shocking crossbow attack that killed three family members.The journalist's wife and two of his daughters were shot dead in the attack last week, with a suspect arrested.

Amy is his only surviving daughter. Husband and father John, and daughter and sister, Amy, have now spoken out and detailed their "devastated" that cannot be put into words following the loss of wife and mother Carol, 61, and daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, as they released a statement.They said: "The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words.

We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days.These have provided great comfort to us for which we are very grateful." The statement continued: "As you can imagine, this is an extremely difficult time for us, and we need time and space to come to terms with what has happened and start the grieving process.

While this is happening, we would ask that our privacy and that of our wider family and relations be respected at this time.Thank you." It comes after over two hundred mourners flocked to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and St John the Evangelist Church in High Street on Friday evening to pay their respects.
