Filming for the second season of Am I Being Unreasonable was derailed by a life-changing event. Daisy May Cooper, who plays the irreverent protagonist Nic, returned to filming after the comedy-thriller met TV success on BBC One.

But she had to halt production due to an unexpected life event. "I was pregnant when we started filming", she recalls, "and then my son was born seven weeks early, so we had to stop filming right in the middle." The 38 year old This Country star welcomed her third child, Benji, with partner Anthony Huggins in June 2024, causing a lengthy pause in production, particularly as the show couldn't go on even further without its cast.

Despite the stress, Daisy speaks fondly of her son: "I have a brilliant son, but it was really stressful." Her co-star and co-writer Selin Hizli, 36, admires her resilience: "I don't know how she did it, to be honest with you. There was a huge amount to do." Daisy's return to filming also saw her debut a new look on camera. "It was a bit mad", she admits, "because since we filmed the last series and this series, I've had my lips done.

I’ve lost about 10 stone. In those flashbacks, we're just kidding ourselves, we don't even look like the same people." For the second season of Am I Being Unreasonable?, Daisy portrays a woman in turmoil as Nic's affair with her brother-in-law Alex is exposed in jaw-dropping scenes.
