Late BBC Radio 1 DJ and icon Annie Nightingale is said to have left a £1m estate to her family, according to probate records.The legendary presenter, who was the first female host on the station, passed away earlier this year at 83 due to a short illness.
Annie remained on air until late last year with Annie Nightingale Presents. In May, her friends and family remembered and celebrated her life and career during a memorial at Trafalgar Square's St Martin-in-the-Fields.
Records have now revealed she had an estate with a gross value of £1,118,872 and a net value of £1,061,543, which she left to her two children, Alex and Lucy, The Sun reports.
The star was not only Radio 1’s longest-serving broadcaster, but also held the record for the longest career as a female radio presenter.
