BBC Merseyside is mourning the loss of their beloved radio presenter and reporter Andy Ball, who has sadly passed away.The station shared a heartfelt message on Facebook: "We're sad to have to tell you that our friend and Colleague Andy Ball has passed away.
Andy worked for BBC Merseyside for nearly 30 years as a Presenter, reporter and part of the management team. He loved the river and enjoyed nothing more than getting out into the communities right across the whole of Merseyside." They continued, expressing their deep sorrow: "We will miss him dearly and send all our love and condolences to his wife Lynn and family." Fans were quick to express their grief in the comments, with one writing: "Such sad news.....and quite a shock.
Andy was always good to listen to and a true gentleman. My condolences to Lynn, and Andy's family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace." Another shared: "Very sad news, an excellent all round broadcaster, condolences to his family, colleagues and friends," while another added: "He always came across as a friend on the air, a very knowledgeable and clever friend but always a friend.
My condolences to his wife, family friends and colleagues." One devastated fan shared: "I am so sad to hear this news. Having worked at Radio Merseyside for a few years, Andy was always so generous with his time and patience with everyone.
