BBC Radio joins European stations to simultaneously play You’ll Never Walk Alone in show of unity against coronavirus

metro.co.ukBBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Radio 6 Music will be joining their European counterparts in a show of unity against the coronavirus pandemic.
The stations have agreed to play You’ll Never Walk Alone on BBC Radio 1’s Greg James’s show. Radio 2’s Zoe Ball show, and Radio 6 Music with Lauren Laverne in solidarity with other stations around Europe.
The Gerry And The Pacemakers track will be played at 7.45am on Friday morning, at the same time the song rings out on stations across Europe.
The BBC want to show solidarity with their fellow European broadcasters by playing the Liverpudlian band’s song, according to a spokeswoman for the corporation.
