BBC Race Across the World producers now recruiting applicants for new series

People from all over the UK are being encouraged to apply for the next series of BBC Race Across the World. In the hit BBC challenge show, five pairs of travellers participate in a race from one side of the world to another, with strict rules and limitations in place.

Armed with the cash equivalent of what a flight would cost, the competitors must make it from the starting point to the finishing location without using the internet or catching a flight.

Each pair must pass through checkpoints, and if they run out of money, they must find a way to earn more. The first pair to reach the final destination is awarded a cash prize of £20,000.

Currently there are four series' of the popular competition show, with series five airing later this year. Now, BBC are recruiting for the sixth series.
