A BBC presenter facing allegations over payments for sexually explicit photos has been accused of breaking lockdown rules to meet a young person from a dating website during the pandemic, The Sun reported.

The newspaper said it has seen messages which suggest the presenter travelled to see the 23-year-old in February 2021, after meeting them on a dating website the previous November.

The 23-year-old told the newspaper the presenter travelled from London to a different county to meet them at their flat. At this time strict coronavirus lockdown rules were in place, including a stay at home order and mixing only between household bubbles.

The young person told the newspaper: “He came round for an hour…. We just chatted. He was obsessed with me making him a cup of tea.” Try MEN Premium for FREE by clicking here for no ads, fun puzzles and brilliant new features.
