A BBC presenter accused of paying a teenager £5,000 for sexually explicit images reportedly called the person's mother twice asking them to stop a probe into their behaviour.
It was revealed on Sunday the unnamed male star had been suspended by the BBC. The male presenter is alleged to have rang the person asking: "What have you done?"He also reportedly asked the person, who is now 20, to get their mum to "stop the investigation" last week, after it was revealed the BBC were told of the allegations in May, reports the Mirror.
The mother claims her child used the money to fund an addiction to crack cocaine and blames the presenter for "destroying their life".There has been speculation on social media as to who the presenter is.
Presenters Rylan Clark, Jeremy Vine and Gary Lineker have all announced on Twitter they are not the person involved, since the allegations surfaced.
