A Scots dog walker smashed her way to victory in the first show of the Gladiators re-boot. The BBC show returned to the small screen on Saturday night with a fresh batch of contestants hoping to battle their way into the quarter finals.
Bradley Walsh and his son Barney co-hosted the show as they introduced the first round of male contenders, Finley and Miles, on the iconic iconic podium challenge.Next in line was 34-year-old dog walker Kerry, from Dunfermline, who enjoys mountain biking in her spare time.
She faced 41-year-old contestant Tasha as the pair went head to head in the gruelling six-round challenges. Kerry breathlessly said: "I'm full of beans," as she laughed before going onto the next challenge 'Gauntlet' and secured 10 points by smashing through a number of Gladiators who was marking each zone with her aim to get to the end.Meanwhile, her competitor Tasha was also doing well as the two women were battling it out with only one place each in the quarter finals up for grabs.The nurse from Suffolk also smashed through the Gladiators and racked up seven points in the 'Collision' challenge with Kerry falling short with four.However Kerry was still in the overall lead with 26 points, Tasha hot on her tail with 23.
