Charlie Dimmock revealed she had 'no regrets' about her controversial affair with co-star during her time one-third presenting Ground Force.The gardening expert shot to fame when she appeared on screens on the beloved series Ground Force - alongside Alan Titchmarsh and Tommy Walsh, reports the Mirror.The show - which began in 1997 and ran until 2005 - brought in over 12 million viewers at its height.Since the wrap of the popular programme almost two decades ago, the 57-year-old TV star has gone on to transform homes on BBC's Garden Rescue, penned books on gardening and presented coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show.And despite the incredible success of Ground Force, Charlie's time on the show was hit with a shock scandal when she had an affair with one of the staff working on the set.The star ended her relationship with long-term partner, John Mushet in 2001 after she got tangled up in a love affair with the show's microphone operator, Andy Simmons.Charlie previously opened up about the affair in 2002 and admitted she "doesn't see Andy anymore".

Adding: "But I don't regret what happened. You wouldn't do anything if you kept worrying about what might go wrong," she said."John and I had been together for a long time so when we split up, I relied heavily on family and close friends.

I've discovered that the most difficult after-effect of the break-up is getting into another relationship."Charlie went on to date with another member of the show's crew, sound technician Barry Smith.
