BBC EastEnders star confirms soap exit following 40th anniversary

EastEnders sensation Louisa Lytton has bid farewell to the soap following her sensational return last year. Known for portraying Ruby Allen, Lytton re-joined the iconic BBC series in 2024 for a dramatic run after making her debut back in 2005.

On her recent stint, it was shockingly uncovered that Ruby had a mysterious son named Roman with Martin Fowler (James Bye), and the two reconnected shortly before his tragedy struck last month.

In an unforeseen twist, just before his untimely death, Martin owned up to still holding a torch for his ex, Stacey Slater. As Walford prepares for Martin's sombre funeral, it's been disclosed that Louisa's journey on Albert Square has come to an end.

Yet the star holds out hope for another return someday. Expressing her departure to The Sun, Louisa remarked: "I left EastEnders a couple of weeks ago.
